Almond Crescent Cookies #967 12/11

1 cup Butter; softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 1/2 cup flour
1 cup almonds; ground
confectioners sugar

Preheat oven to 350°F. Pam 2 baking sheets. Beat the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla and almond extract. Mix in flour and almonds. Using about 1 TB dough for each, shape into logs, then bend into crescent shapes. Arrange on prepared sheets. Bake for 15 minutes. While still warm, sprinkle with confectioners sugar and any leftover ground almonds you may have. Cool.
