Fig Nut Loaf 8/00 #530

1 stick butter; softened
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 cup fig preserves
1 cup pecan pieces

Cream sugar and butter; add eggs. Mix dry ingredients together. Add soda and vinegar to the milk. Add milk, a little at a time, then add figs and pecans. Cook 1 hour at 350 degrees.
