Hamburger Stroganoff (Scott) 1/93

1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion (about 1/4 cup)
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic salt or
1 garlic clove minced
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 can 8oz sliced mushrooms drained
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1 pkg noodles or
1 mashed potatoes

In a large skillet, cook and stir ground beef and onion in butter til onion is tender. Drain. Stir in flour, salt, garlic salt, pepper, and mushrooms; cook five minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

Stir in soup; simmer uncovered 10 minutes. Stir in sour cream; heat through. Serve over noodles or mashed potatoes. Also good as a gravy over toast or biscuits. Try this with sausage instead of hamburger. 4 to 6 servings.
