crock pot, New 2009, pork, ToTryAgain
2 boneless pork loin chops
salt and pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste
1/2 cup flour
1 large onion; sliced 1/4 inch thick
2 cups chicken broth
2 tablespoon flour
1 8 oz. container sour cream
Season pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then dredge in flour. In a skillet over medium high heat, lightly brown chops in a little oil. Place chops in slow cooker and top with onion slices. Pour chicken broth over top. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours. In a saucepan, blend the 2 TB flour and sour cream. Blend in most of the juices and onions from the crock pot, leaving just enough to keep the chops warm. Cook until the sauce is of the desired consistancy, do not boil. Serve sauce over the chops. We served with gnocci, but rice would also be good.
