Sausage Strata ****1/2 1/96

1/2 lb bulk sausage
3 slices bread
2 tablespoon butter; melted
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3 eggs; beaten
1 cup half & half
3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
Cook sausage and drain. Place melted butter in a 8 x 8 inch casserole. Tear bread into chunks and sprinkle over the butter. Sprinkle sausage over bread. Sprinkle cheese over the sausage. Beat eggs & other ingredients; pour over mixture. Chill 8 hours or overnight. Bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes or until bubbly. This could be made in individual ramekins or two smaller casseroles.
