Mexican Meat Patties ***1/2 7/96

1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 lb velveeta; cubed
1/2 cup sour cream
16 oz can kidney beans; drained
1/2 cup green pepper strips
1 tablespoon butter

Combine ground beef, onion and chili powder; mix well. Shape meat mixture into 4 patties. Fry or broil until desired doneness. Heat Velveeta, sour cream and kidney beans over low heat, stirring until cheese is melted. Saute the green pepper in butter. Serve sauce over patties and top with green pepper slices.

Yield: 4 servings
