Beef Marsala #667 9/03

1 lb Top beef round; cubed
4 tablespoon Butter
1 small onion; chopped
1/2 lb mushrooms; sliced
1 1/4 cup marsala wine; separated
1/4 teaspoon tarragon
1/8 teaspoon thyme
1/8 teaspoon red pepper
1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce
1 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoon flour
1 14 1/2 oz. can Italian green beans; drained
Brown beef in butter in large skillet over high heat. Add chopped onion and mushrooms; saute. Add 1 cup of the wine and seasonings. Place in a covered 1 1/2 quart casserole. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Blend flour with remaining wine and stir into the meat dish. Mix in the green beans. Serve over rice or cous-cous.
