Oklahoma Cheese Grits #889 7/08

2 cups milk
1/2 cup quick cooking yellow grits
1/4 cup Butter
5 oz Velveeta; cubed
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
1 large egg; beaten
Preheat oven to 350°F. Pam a 1 Qt. Corning dish. In a medium saucepan, bring the milk to a low boil. Gradually stir in the grits, reduce heat to low; cover and cook 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Mix in the butter, cheese, seasoned salt, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Continue cooking for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Remove from heat, cool slightly, and fold in egg. Pour into the prepared dish and bake for 1 hour or until top is lightly browned. This can also be served without the baking part. Just eliminate the egg and serve as is.
