Cheese Grits **** 4/96

2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup quick cooking yellow grits
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Bring water and salt to a boil in a saucepan. Gradually stir in grits. Cook 4 to 5 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat; pour into serving bowls. Sprinkle with the cheese; cover and let stand for one to two minutes or until desired thickness.
Yield: 2 servings
