Hink's Cajun Blackened Peanuts

3 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 jar unsalted dry roasted peanuts
2 tablespoon chile powder or cajun spice
1 teaspoon garlic salt
2 teaspoon oregano
In an 8 inch skillet, saute the garlic in the vegetable oil. Stir in remaining ingredients and saute over high heat, stirring constantly until peanuts are nicely blackened. Spread on paper towels to dry. Let dry completely before putting in container. This is also very good made with cashews. 12/07 eliminated garlic from recipe and it may be necessary to add a little more oil.
