1 9 inch deep dish pie shell; thawed
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese; divided
1/2 cup spaghetti sauce
1 link Italian sausage; cooked
1/4 cup green bell pepper; chopped
1/4 cup onion; chopped
2 large eggs
3/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Preheat oven to 350°F . Bake pie crust for about ten minutes or until set; allow to cool. Layer pie crust with 3/4 cup of cheese, spaghetti sauce, sausage, green pepper, and onion. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. In a medium bowl, combine eggs, cream, salt and pepper; mix thoroughly and pour over the filling. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 50 minutes, or until golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 15 minutes; cut into wedges.

Yield: 6 servings
