1 cup maple syrup
1 cup ketchup
1 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
4 garlic cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
3 lb country style pork ribs

Bring everything except ribs to a boil in a sauce pan; reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Place ribs on a deep baking pan. Baste with some of the sauce. Bake covered at 325 for about 3 hours or until ribs are tender. Baste about once each hour. Uncover the last hour, drain and baste again. Serve with remaining sauce. If you have smaller pieces of ribs you will have to substancially reduce the cooking time to 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
