Sausage Sauerkraut Balls

1 lb mild italian or reg. sausage
1 small onion; finely chopped
1 lb bag sauerkraut; drained,
1 rinsed & finely chopped
1 tablespoon bread crumbs
8 oz cream cheese; softened
4 teaspoon parsley flakes
2 teaspoon mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayene pepper

Brown sausage and onion together, drain. Combine sausage and oniom with other ingredients. Chill overnight. Shape into balls, roll in flour, dip in a mixture of slightly beaten eggs and a little water, then roll in the bread crumbs. Deep fry until golden brown. These freeze well and can be reheated in the microwave.
