Beer Roast Beef ****

1 each 3 to 5 lb. cheap roast beef
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 small onion; chopped
2 cans of beer

Put roast in an oven bag. Sprinkle spices on top along with chopped onion. Pour the beer around it and seal the top. Put in a 2" high baking pan and cut a few slits in the top of the bag to let steam escape. Bake at 250 for at least five hours or as much as eight This is also good served as a lunch, sliced and served on buns with a horseradish sauce. If you want a truly good broth for onion soup, this is the place to get it.
