Poppy Seed Pinwheels #716 1/05

1 8 oz cream cheese; softened
1 teaspoon dried parsley
4 teaspoon fresh chives; chopped
2 garlic cloves; minced
1 can crescent rolls
cooking spray
1 large egg; slightly beaten
2 teaspoon poppy seeds

Prrehehat oven to 375°F. In a small mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, parsley, chives, and garlic. Set aside. On a floured piece of parchment paper or waxed paper, unroll the crescent rolls into rectangles and combine to make 1 long rectangle. Spread cream cheese mixture on and roll up like a pinwheel starting on the long side. Seal edges. Put some parchment paper on a cookie sheet and spray lightly with Pam. Place roll on cookie sheet, brush with the egg and sprinkle with the poppy seeds. Score at 1/2 inch intervals along the roll about 1/2 way through. Pull apart slightly so that your scoring will not completely seal back up during baking. Bake until golden brown; about 14 minutes.
