Layered Salad ****

1 head lettuce
1/2 cup celery; diced
1/2 cup green pepper; diced
1 cup frozen green peas
1/2 spanish onion
2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoon sugar
8 oz shredded cheddar
1/2 lb bacon; fried and crumbled

Tear lettuce and layer it in the bottom of a large bowl, sprinkle celery next, then green pepper. Add frozen peas. Chop onion or cut into rings, seperate and place next. Cover with mayonnaise and sprinkle with sugar. Then sprinkle with the Cheddar cheese and top with bacon bits. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours. Toss just before serving

Yield: 8 servings
