Garlic Fries ****1/2 6/95

1 pkg lipton savory herb & garlic
1 recipe secrets soup mix.
1 or
1 pkg lipton fiesta herb with red
1 pepper recipe secrets soup
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup dried bread crumbs
2 lb large red potatoes
1 salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut potatoes lengthwise into wedges. In a large bowl, blend soup mix and salt to taste and cayenne to the butter. Add potatoes to the soup mixture and toss until evenly coated. Place potatoes into bread crumbs and toss until evenly coated. Spray a baking pan with Pam. Arrange potatoes. in a single layer. Bake about 40 minutes or until potatoes are done. Serve these with Ranch dressing or sour cream. For a real treat, try some beer cheese sauce with a little extra cayenne. If you bake with a convection oven, reduce time to 25 or 30 minutes.
