Braised Beef and Onions #653 3/03

2 tablespoon Butter
1 1/2 lbs boneless chuck pot roast; cut into 1 inch pieces
1 16 oz jar small onions
1/2 cup burgundy
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoon flour
1 8 oz can tomato sauce with; basil, garlic & oregano
1 1/2 cups baby cut carrots
6 oz noodles
Heat oven to 325°F . Melt butter in a 6 quart ovenproof covered dutch oven until sizzling; add beef. Cook over medium high heat, stirring, until browned (5 to 8 minutes). Add wine and Hoisin sauce. Cover and bake for 45 minutes. Stir flour into tomato sauce in small bowl. Add carrots, onions, and tomato sauce mixture to beef mixture. Stir. Continue to bake, covered for 45 minutes or until meat & veggies are tender. Prepare noodles as package directs and serve beef mixture over top.
