Russian Tea Cakes #647 2/03

1 cup Butter; softened
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon Salt
3/4 cup chopped pecans
powdered sugar; for rolling
Mix butter, confectioners sugar and vanilla in mixer bowl. Add flour, salt, and pecans and mix on low speed. Roll mixture into 1 inch balls in your hands. Place these on an ungreased baking sheet and flatten a little if you like. These will not raise in size or "melt". Bake at 350°F for 13 minutes. Immediately while hot, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cool on a wire rack. When cooled, again sprinkle with powdered sugar.
