Potato Ham Soup #631 9/02

2 cups ham, cooked; cubed
2 cups potatoes; peeled and diced
2 cups Water
1/2 cup onion; diced
1 cup celery; diced
1/2 teaspoon pepper
10 tablespoon flour
3 cups milk
4 tablespoon Butter; melted
1/2 cup chicken broth
shrredded cheddar
Combine potatoes, water, onion, celery, and pepper in a large saucepan. Cook until vegetables reach desired tenderness. In a separate bowl, whip flour with one cup of the milk, blending well until smooth. Add flour/milk mixture, butter, chicken broth, ham, and remaining milk to the saucepan with potato mixture. Simmer on medium heat for bout 20 minuttes or until heated through and thickened. Cooling soup slightly before serving will thicken soup. Top with shredded cheddar.
