Wild Rice & Cheese **** 10/92

1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoon flour
1 cup milk
3 oz cream cheese, cubed
3 slice velveeta cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 oz box uncle ben's long grain
1 and wild rice; cooked
1/2 lb mushroom caps; sauteed

Melt butter in saucepan. Add flour, stirring constantly. Slowly add milk, stirring until thickened. Add cheeses and salt. Blend until smooth. Alternate layers of rice, mushrooms, and cheese sauce. Repeat until 1 1/2 quart dish is filled, ending with a generous amount of sauce. Bake uncovered at 325 for 25 minutes.

Yield: 8 servings
