Bourbon Barbecue Sauce 7/00 #525

1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup light molasses
1/4 cup bourbon
1/8 cup dijon mustard
1 1/2 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium low; simmer uncovered until sauce thickens and flavors blend, stirring frequently, about 15 minutes. Cover; chill. This is actually a lot better after it sets for a few days. It was very good on BBQ ribs.
