Stuffed Green Pepper Soup 11/01 #598

1 lb ground beef
1/2 onion; chopped
1 14 1/2 oz. can tomato sauce
1 14 1/2 oz. can diced tomato
1 cup rice; uncooked
2 green pepper; 1 inch dice
1 beef bouillon cube
2 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 3/4 cup water
Brown ground beef and onion in a dutch oven. Drain. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for about a half hour. Add more water if needed.
