Steak Roll Ups **** 4/97

3/4 lb boneless round steak
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup butter; melted
2 1/2 cup fresh bread cubes
1/4 cup celery; chopped
1/2 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoon cooking oil
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 1/3 cup water
3/4 teaspoon browning sauce.

Pound steak to 1/3 inch thickness. Cut into 3 pieces. Combine the next eight ingredients; mix well. Place 1/3 cup of dressing on each piece of steak; roll up and fasten with toothpicks. Roll in flour. In a large skillet, brown the rollups in oil. Combine soup, water, and browning sauce; pour over rollups. Cover and simmer for two hours or until meat is tender, turning occasionally. There is an abundance of gravy with this that can be used to put on some mashed potatoes if desired.
