1/2 teaspoon whole mustard seed
1/2 medium onion; chopped
1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
15 oz garbanzo beans; drained
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1/16 teaspoon ground cloves
Cook and stir mustard seed and onion in oil in a saucepan until onion is tender. Stir in remaining ingredients; cook, stirring occasionally, until beans are heated through, about five minutes.
