2 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon whole mustard seed
1/2 medium onion; chopped
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 can 15 oz garbanzo beans; drained
Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add mustard seed and onion in oil, cook, stirring, until onion is tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook, stirring occasionally, until beans are heated through.
Yield: 3 servings
