Peppy Party Mix 6/99 Revised 6/00

3/4 cup butter
3 teaspoon paprika
4 teaspoon chile powder
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
5 cup bite size corn square cereal
2 cup cheerios
1 1/2 cup mixed nuts
1 cup small or round pretzels

In a saucepan, combine the butter, paprika, chili powder, onion powder, salt, and hot sauce. Heat and stir just until the butter is melted. In a large lasagna pan, combine the corn cereal, Cheerios, mixed nuts, and pretzels. Stir the butter and seasoning mixture well; drizzle over the cereal mixture, tossing to coat evenly. Bake in a 300 degree oven for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes. Cool mixture on paper towels then transfer to a large airtight jar.
