12 oz frozen hash browns; thawed
1/3 cup butter; melted
1 cup ham; cooked & diced
2 each eggs
8 oz jack cheese; shredded
1/2 cup cream or milk
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt

Grease a 9 inch pie plate with butter or shortening. Press hash browns between paper towels to remove excess moisture. (Do not over dry) Fit hash browns into pie plate. Cut and trim to make a solid crust. Brush crust with melted butter: be sure to brush top edges also. Bake at 425 for 25 minutes. Remove crust from oven and fill with layers of cheese and ham. Beat cream with eggs and seasoned salt. Pour over cheese and ham. Return to oven. Reduce heat to 350 and bake until a knife inserted at the edge comes out clean. About 35 to 40 minutes. If you use a deep dish pie plate, then double the portions of eggs, cream and salt. This is also good with a frozen pie crust. Just skip the first baking part.
